Given the increasing quantities of personal data being gathered by individuals, the concept of a digital library of rich multimedia and sensory content for every individual is becoming a reality and fast becoming a mainstream topic for multimedia research. This is often referred to as lifelogging and there are significant challenges to be addressed in the area, concerning the gathering, enriching, searching and accessing of lifelog data.
The LTA2017 workshop at ACM MM 2017 builds on the momentum from LTA2016 and will bring together interdisciplinary researchers and practitioners to discuss approaches to lifelog data analytics and the applications of same, and to debate the opportunities and challenges for researchers in this new and challenging area. The disciplines involved include multimedia analytics, quantified-self, wearable and ubiquitous computing, HCI, information retrieval, cognitive science and healthcare and wellness.

Submissions

We solicit long papers up to 8 pages (plus one page for references) for oral presentation and short papers of 4 pages for poster presentation. The submissions will be peer reviewed by a committee of PC members from the areas of both multimedia analytics and user applications. The submissions should be formatted according to the ACM SIG proceedings template and the review-process will be double-blind. Authors of accepted long papers will be given a speaking slot at the workshop. Authors of accepted posters will present in a common space for all workshops, thus reaching a broad audience. The workshop will take place on during ACM MM 2017.
